Yes, we all have our wants. But maybe it will be more interesting if we could state, as the thread's title says, where are we now. And how we are going to achieve it?

im a lil lost sheep....I actually got into DMAT! n i was sooo happie i got in but i dunno why for mani reasons lik money,parents,future,n everything else i appealed for another course which now i realli have no interest in. I appealed for it cux has the word "food" but in reality not realli. SOoo the past year i was struggling with sciences n maths i realli dun lik..n i dun lik ani other course except music or something lik tat. Sooo now im realli lost...Do i have to be in a science related field when im out to work?? Sometimes i realli regret my choice but i always never tell anione cux they may think 'who ask u to change' haiz so the reality is always harsh.
So my plans are:
author(yea jus try a book publisher until one accepts me)
vocalist
open a jap shop/cd shop
if none come true, i shall be a nun for good . lolx .

DMAT is referring to the Diploma in Music and Audio Technology (hence DMAT) at s'pore poly..FASS is the faculty of arts and social sciences at nus.

People, don't get so caught up with formal education! Of course being a graduate can get you somewhere in life (i.e. safe job safe income) but it isn't everything. There are lots of people out there who made it big using their guts, creativity and experience. I'm not saying that education isn't important, I'm just saying that it's a stepping stone to greater things.
I'm 22 and I think I'm old. Finishing my undergrad studies in a year's time and will be looking for a career in IT/IS industry. Maybe venture into Logistics or IR related? However, I won't be satisfied with a corporate job. I have plans to further my business (SeekZ Stompers) or venture into other businesses in the future. Currently doing some investments of my own just to gain some experience. But mostly, SeekZ is the driving force behind all our decisions. What can I say... He's just an awesome boyfriend. LOL.
My parents have given their full support with regards to my formal education. I think they're great all round. I'm just waiting for them to tell me to get married! Haha!
I wanted to be a professional pianist when I was younger but I stopped at grade 8 because I was too lazy to continue the crazy training. Haha. But my sisters are well on their way to becoming professional violinists so maybe we could open a music school in the future.

okay, not that kind of gypsy but like, I want to have a job that's always on the go around the globe about 80% of the time. Like stay here, work 1 year, next destination! then the whole cycle.
photographer would be nice. I wanna do Nat. Geo or er, teenvogue? Heh.
oh I wish I could interior design.
Eventually, I hope to retire and open a horse ranch or a farm in the nice countryside of Europe or, New Zealand, or any other nicer place with greener pastures and better air.
Right now, I'm doing my Os so I can't plan that far yet or I'll lose concentration on my studies. Yeah. My parents don't know bout my overseas-ish plan yet. But they do know I'm going to Poly! yeahhh.

I wanted to make the world beautiful or rid it of evil.
My parents supported me in being an artist rather than to join the police and get killed in gunfire.
I am now... an artist.
I express myself in abstract writings (after realizing i can't draw).
I express myself in photography to portray a statement.
I express myself in digital imaging to enhance the effects of the photos.
I don't think i can stay as an artist for long because the world is about money and i have to earn my own keep. I am struggling like crazy right about now but i guess that what an artist goes through.

the sad thing is people think that an ambition in music isn't gonna earn you money and that you are throwing away your future..
in a way it's a good thing for people who really want to do it because there's less competition..
but seriously, the music scene in singapore is pretty active and you can easily get opportunities overseas. there will always be open doors. i'm currently doing my best to improve myself and take whatever chance i can to make it. i'm glad my parents are supportive.

obs instructor is because i want to make an impact on other people's life.
touring band because i love playing on gigs although i nv did in my life before.

i actually don't know. and i'm finishing school. makes me look stupid, slack and unprepared compared to my classmates, of which almost all are aiming for MED SCHOOL. serious. bio/chem/maths combination...
if i get better at guitar then i might consider being a part-time touring musician

Sadly now I am specialising in games design.But I am still aimin to work as an illustrator,graphics designer and photographer in the future.Might be considering to the teaching line if I'm dying in the design industry.And yes,I will open up an online store selling my prints and photos and also doing freelance for people too.:-D
