if u like.. i know sabian.com allow u to try out the sound of their cymbals.. well.. my set up are kinda crappy.. haven realli gotton anything.. yeah just bought my tama rockstar .. not thinkingof getting cymbals.. since i'm still finding the kind of sound i like..

I don't own a hi-hat or a ride. Normally I'd use what's there at the studio or at gigs. But recently the good people at Lee Studio has loaned me a 14" Paiste 402 hi-hats and an unknown 22" Zildjian ride for my last gig. I use all my cymbals for jamming/gigs/recordings.

Yo bro, i've been drumming since 1978 and from then on(i started buying my own cymbals in mid80s), I bought cymbals(kept the one that i like and sell off those i don need) and kept changing. My break came when i started working with excel and doing drum shows around the region(jakarta, thailand etc..)and from then got offered to promote Meinl cymbals thru my drum-shows, hence i got lotsa free cymbals and for other brands, got it at big discount.. Ya, one more thing, i don't use all the cymbals for my gigs, the most i'll use is around 13-14 cymbals but usually, i only use 7-8 cymbals unless i'm doing drum-clinics/shows, then i'll put up more..

Anyways, for cymbal trees, you can get it from excel, for yamaha or swee lee, i dunno if they're selling it, for the on-the-wall cymbal cabinets, you have to custom order it. My best recommendation is to ask Nigel from Drums Resources.

Anywayz, Rizal wanted to sell his 14"hats, 16"18"crash and 20" K constantinoples for 2.5K, brand new and untouched, if you interested, go n call him.

Zildjian ZXT,
Sabian AAX
whats ur recommendations? or whats ur other recommendations?

Zildjian ZXT,

No offence to ZXT owners/users, but I'd rather play with other cymbal brands anyday anytime than ZXTs.

Reason 1) OVERPRICED!!!:x

Reason 2) Sounds horrible!!

Its better or rather value for money if U were to get the Sabian AAX packs which cost ard $750 (compared to ZXTs $800++) at any Swee Lee Branches.(Sims Drive/Bras Basah)

For Zildjians, those A Customs are sweet but they don't come in Packs like Sabians.

Its highly advisable not to purchase any cymbals blindly just bcos of the packaging and appearance.

Try them out first. Buy with ur ears and not with your eyes.:wink:
