Need advise on stomp boxes

Dear bros, any idea what effects pedals are used for master of puppets by Metallica? Thanks in advance!

Uh, Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield didnt use any effects, just using the amp's distortion. If I'm not wrong they were using a Mesa Boogie Mark IIC+ for a period of time?(someone correct me here)

So you would probably want a metal sounding distortion pedal? Get the Metal Zone and do the Re-animation mod. Or if you want cheaper alternatives, the Danelectro Cool Cat metal or Distortion pedals are not bad as well, I personally prefer the Distortion as it sounds warmer and fuller, but it's personal preference.
