I'm a bass player looking for like-minded musicians to start a few 70s and 80s HR/HM tribute bands and have fun. Vo, gt, kb, dr are all welcome.
Guitarists should have the appropriate gear for the impersonation. You don't need to use the same exact model or splurge on signature series. A Strat for Rainbow tribute is appropriate. Even better if it's a 70s style Strat with big headstock.
Disclaimer: We're NOT going the distance. Impersonators don't become rock stars. Just doing this for fun. Impersonate our heroes, rock out, play some gigs and fuel our GAS (gear acquisition syndrome). Be forewarned though, you will be tempted to acquire more guitars. It happened to me
