WTB: A splash cymbal

Dear people,

I am really into Japan Visual Kei music right now and I need help ! I want to buy a splash cymbal that sounds from 2:03 - 2:04, I want to make a cover of my favourite song from my favourite band ! Maybe it's because the band sounds like my name, heheh ! My friends told me that a smaller splash cymbal would make a similar sound to that, so I'm looking for a good second-hand splash ranging from 6 - 10 inch ! I'm also a Sabian fan, but I am open to other brand cymbals as well.

My ears tell me its Sabian 8" AA Splash Choke, http://www.sabian.com/en/cymbal/20805-8-inch-aa-splash
For Zildjian, its probably 6" A splash. No choked sample though.

Hmm remember that the sound is probably EQ-ed and whatnot so you might not have the exact same sound even if you have the exact model!

That is definitely an <8inch splash. Any splash of that size can make a similar sound. You should go and check out splashes from brands like Zildjian, Sabian or Meinl, and then decide what you want.

Thanks guys, for the help and replies ! After listening to all the suggestions, I felt that Sabian's 8" AA Splash choke sounds closest to the one used in the MV. You can watch a video splash sample here, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FC3uVu0G43A

Albatross93, you are probably right, that is why I want to find a similar high-pitched sounding splash cymbal as the one used in the music video, hahah !

Hey edrummer, thanks for the suggestion ! It sounds close to A custom 6" splash but I would prefer a higher-pitching sound like the one in the music video, hahah ! Yeah I'm always checking out what you've gotta offer on Soft.com but I can't buy anymore items since I'm migrating soon, that is why I'm selling my drumkit away for good price. I would recommend the max splash, its versatile and sounds exactly like the one you're looking for, mike portnoy uses it in all his dt records and im also a fan of that splash

Glad to find another fan of that AAX Max splash, hahah ! Yeah, I hope I can find someone who can sell that with a reasonable price
