i do play around with such stuff at a much slower speed. Listening to Fleas punk slap stuff does help. And forming the big musical picture with a couple of notes rather than 2-3 notes.

o yeah and linking the notes together into a sequence/chain.

i think you gotta use thick guage stings for a start. and lotsa tips and help from the bassists!
