About Mayuni Omar
Mayuni Omar first started out as a keyboardist for legendary band Tokyo Square back in 1994, and he has come a long way since then. After a stint in Made In Singapore, a band fronted by Tanya Chua and Max Surin, he moved behind the scenes to become an award winning Music Arranger, Producer and Composer. He has, amongst others, composed music for several local Malay dramas and infotainment programmes by Suria; produced, composed and arranged music for the album Anugerah Cinta; and most notably, he has been the music arranger for the Singapore Idol programme since 2005, including Singapore Idol Hadi Mirza himself.
Other prominent feathers in Mayuni’s cap include Top Local Song in the Anugerah Planet Music awards in 2006, and Top Theme Song for local Malay Drama CintaQ in Pesta Perdana 2007. He’s also recently won the 2008 Top Contemporary Instrumental Award by COMPASS, and to top it all off, this celebrated musician is a businessman too – he’s the Managing Director for Soundlink Productions, which specialises in broadcast audio and video.
