Go behind the scenes with panellists Leonard Soosay, Jason Gelchen and Evan Low (evanturetime) as they share their stories and experiences on music production in Singapore and beyond. This session will be moderated by Mah from Tonehouse Studios.

Leonard Soosay
A music producer and recording engineer by profession, Leonard Soosay has produced over 600 albums in the last 20 years, along with EPs by chart-topping bands like Electrico, Ronin, The Great Spy Experiment, B-Quartet and Inch Chua. He was also among the first ever Baybeats Auditions judges, talent-spotting bands like Caracal, The Fire Fight, Giants Must Fall and Allura. Soosay is also the co-founder of Thunder Rock School, an institution that is committed to the preservation and cultivation of Singapore's musical heritage, while inspiring and educating the next generation of musicians.

Jason Gelchen
After founding Homeground Studios in 2016, Jason Gelchen has carved his place in Singapore’s music industry by producing some of the country’s biggest acts like Jasmine Sokko, Linying, Nathan Hartono, RRILEY and Narelle Kheng. Gelchen has also composed for international brands like Fanta, Samsung, Puma and Lazada.

Evan Low / evanturetime
Evan Low graduated from Berklee College of Music Magna Cum Laude in Bachelor of Music. Throughout his career, his versatility has seen him take on multiple leading roles in every aspect of the music industry, from engineering for David Foster and Nathan East, to composing for brands such as Adidas and eBay. Low has co-arranged and co-produced theme songs and parade music for three editions of the National Day Parade. He has produced and performed alongside artists such as iNCH, Linying and The Sam Willows with hit songs that have amassed over 10 million streams.

Mah (Moderator)
Mah is a full-time bassist and founder of Tonehouse Studios. A self-proclaimed sceptic and lover of geeky things, he loves learning on the job and treasures the relationships forged through his work with Tonehouse.
