Major Feedback

when i plug in my guitar, i get major feedback from my amp, so im wondering if it was my guitar or my amp thats causing this. Anyone can enlighten me on this?

or the volume very loud when u first plug in?

try plugging in the cable without the guitar, holding the other end of the metal untouched. If it feedbacks then it's probably your amp. Makes sense?

okay thanks, well judging from the fact that unless i hold the other end of the cable, theres lotsa feedback, gonna get myself a new amp then.
