I have been playing acoustic guitars for years and recently I joined an interest group where I get to finally play an electric guitar. I am looking to buy an electric guitar set up and I am wondering, does it make sense in 2024 to get an amp for an electric guitar or should I get an audio interface instead?
Considerations:
1) Limited space in my room
2) Budget conscious
3) I cannot blast loud music and I can usually only practice at night
4) The place we play as a group usually have amps so I dont really have to bring my own.
5) I understand software through the audio interface has more varieties of amps and effects.
