help ! how to restore my guitar's finish

i got a guitar that is old.

the lacquer on the guitar has some areas stripped.

can i relacquer everything just like that ??

how do i ?

its a sunburst finish btw.

DIY ? sand off the old lacquer ... let it more or less b the same feel all over ... wipe off all dust and dirt.

hold lacquer spray 45° towards your surface, steady and left - rite movement, spray 'away' from u - meaning if u start off at the bottom of your guitar (body strap nut) spray towards the neck (presume u already taken off the neck) becos the spray droplets will b ahead of your finishing parts.

but for me, after the finishes ... it'll feels kinda sticky with the laquer on it so i rather not have a 'glowing' finish ... but that's just me.

btw.. will it affect the burst?

hmm ... it'll more or less darken it all over ... yeah ... u can use vanishes ... more transparency
