hand-wired digital switching loop selector - possible?

im probably gonna need a pedal of some kinda that can switch between multiple effects loop without having to do a tapdance, and i know a few ppl here who makes em.

But just wondering, is it possible to make the switching digital? For example, all the efx is connected to a single box, and that single box is connected to the stomp-switch pedal via a single cable. That would be very organised and well, visually pleasing to the eye, compared to the conventional kinda cluttered (imo) look that all pedals are connected to a single box. And with that much connection, you cant really move that stomp box around.

if such a device is possible, what kinda price range will it be?

there are products like that in the market.

cant remember the name offhand. plug all your pedals into the floorboard and set what each patch turns on.
