can someone enlighten me on the BC riches? is it a good entry level guitar?

people get put off by BC Riches because of the obtrusive design. it's often inappropriately associated with METAL type of music, otherwise it's as good as the other entry-level contenders namely Ibanez, Squier, Epiphone & Yamaha...

however, the bottom rung offerings are hits & misses (applicable to ALL entry levels for that matter), try them in person before you part with cash.
