I've got lots of stuff to do today so I'm gonna keep this review short. Anyway, this is the very guitar I bought:

It is a Yamaha Pacifica PAC112VCX. It costs $610 originally but I paid only $485 for it during the sale.

What I like about it:
- Absolutely beautiful vintage white finish with tortoiseshell pickguard.
- Alder body that sounds bright and snappy but very powerful with distortion.
- Coil-tap for the bridge humbucker allowing me to get a strat's bridge singlecoil tone.
- Unfinished neck that is really smooth.
- Tuning pegs are consistent in operation.
- Alnico pickups (HSS), which are high-output. Can really do pinch harmonics on this beauty.
- Overall a well-made guitar that felt really nice in my hands.

What I don't like about it:
- Fret buzz. Gotta have a setup done someday. But it's fine for now.
- Limited fret excess because of the traditional strat style neckjoint which is bolt-on with the backplate. But it's fine for me as I never play that high up the fretboard anyway.
- Strings feel a bit too loose, but a change of strings should change that. Not a fan of stock Yamaha strings.

So on the overall, very pleased with the purchase. :p

*Sure, there are more value-for-money alternatives out there, but for me, although value is important, there is more to a guitar than just its specifications. So I don't regret my purchase. :p
