Hard to find Koa Martin D-42K. Excellent condition with some slight finish dings. All original, includes the original Martin 640 molded hardshell case and LR Baggs Lyric pickup. Very responsive and loud, you’ve got to try it out to believe!
Solid Sitka spruce top and solid figured koa wood back and sides. Low-profile solid mahogany neck with solid black ebony fretboard and bridge. Headplate is solid East Indian rosewood with abalone Martin inlay. Abalone snowflake fingerboard markers. Black-and-white body binding front and back. Beautiful and delicate Gotoh gold open-geared tuning machines with butterbean knobs. Tortoise-color pickguard. This guitar is built very light (compared to the usual Martin Indian Rosewood dreads) and has a bright and articulate, yet well-balanced tone with warm sustain. Works with Gauge 12 strings but I would recommend Gauge 13 (Medium) Martin SP Lifespan strings to really bring out the true power of this guitar.
CONDITION
9/10 Excellent+, very minimal user marks. Overall super well maintained and kept in casing all the time with dry packs when not in use. Dehumidified on a quarterly basis to avoid damage from Singapore's humid weather.
