Watch The World’s First Chinese Orchestra Live Concert Online

Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) collaborates with Singapore Press Holding’s Lianhe Zaobao digital platforms to present the world’s first Chinese orchestra online digital concert. The Strings Fantasy digital concert will be broadcasted in high definition via zaobao.com on 26 November 2016 (Saturday). E-tickets are now on sale through http://www.zaobao.com/sco-live at only S$10 each. E-ticket holders may also watch replay of the digital concert till 11 December 2016.

The Strings Fantasy concert features internationally-renowned violinist Lu Siqing – the first Asian to win the Paganini Violin Competition – will perform with acclaimed cellist Qin Li-Wei, who heads Cello Studies at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music in the Strings Fantasy concert. Led by Music Director Tsung Yeh, SCO will present pieces by celebrated composers Zhao Ji Ping and Chen Gang such as Zhuang Zhou’s Dreams and The Sun Shines on Tashkurghan. The concert will also feature the well-known Carmen Fantasy and The Celestial Web, a symphonic poem by Singaporean artist Tan Swie Hian and music by local composer Law Wai Lun.

The digital live stream allows online audiences to enjoy the concert from the comfort of their present locations, as well as watch the replay at their leisure, up till 11 December 2016. Budding violinists and cellists among the online audiences may perhaps also make use of the video replays to observe Lu’s and Qin’s playing techniques in HD!

Strings Fantasy concert will be staged live at the SCO Concert Hall (Singapore Conference Hall) on 25 and 26 November 2016 at 8pm. Audiences in Singapore may watch the concert live in the concert hall. Actual concert tickets are priced from $38 to $99 (SISTIC fees inclusive) and are on sale at all SISTIC agents. Only 26 November’s concert will be streamed live online through www.zaobao.com/sco-live to e-ticket buyers.
