volume pot

hey guys i just rewired my axe however the tone and the volume doesnt seem to work..
the volume when turned all the way down doesnt 'silence' the guitar i stilll hear the guitar itself.. from the speakers..
the tone when played around with doenst have any diff in sound.. the sound is still crisp..
i just bought the pots today and it screw up now i heart pain..
n this isnt my first time wiring.. i've done it many times before.. jst that this time i changed capacitors..

sumthing wrong sumwhere..? maybe some of you can give me your schematics..

what kind of pots did u buy and what capacitor rating did u change to?

since i'm using humbuckers, i got 2 500k pots.. and a 0.033mf cap
