"vintage" bone saddle and nut

I was in the process of changing my guitars to bone saddles and nuts. But felt that the bone saddles and nuts were too white (they look like plastic). So I dumped them into a cup of black coffee. After about 1/2 hour, took them out and rinse. Now they look aged, instead of bone white. The porous bone will absorb the coffee.

The piece at the front was not treated to a black coffee bath. Just thought I share with you all. Thanks!

yeah, can do the same kopi-o bath with white bone pins also. Makes the abalone or mop inlay stand out more.
