Is there an ukulele craze lately? I've not been to Peninsula for quite awhile, and today I saw so many music shops stocked with ukuleles. I mean they're just hanging everywhere! All brands and colours, and there's even the a-la Jimmy Page double-neck variety! Maybe I'm behind time, but when has this fad started? Could it be because of that contact lens TV ad, or has it dated way back?

maybe because there is a demand and it's dirt cheap. cheapest ones at Music Theme go for like $27 only.
