has anyone tried this before? take out 4 screws from a strat to make it a 2-point pivot trem?
what's the result?
I would prefer a 2-point fulcrum trem but the guitar i am eyeing has the traditional 6-screw trem. is thinking of removing those 4 middle screws.

anyone has suggestions?

thanks......

it's... not like that... it's hard to put in words [yes my english sucks!]. try looking for pictures of 2 point and 6 point fulcrum trems and see if u understand.

the depth and width of the holes are different. if you take out 4 screws from a 6 screw trem, you're gonna put way too much pressure on the 2 screws there. for a 2 point whammy, they not only drill deeper, but the screws they use are also wider so that it can tahan the tension, and they're usually knife edges resting on stubs, not the normal screw heads seen on traditional whammys.

ok i understand now its the problem of the posts vs the "small-ness" of the screws. haiz. liked the axl badwater sro a lot, but changing the bridge would destroy the design......

thanks....:)
