Sonar 8.5 or Sonar Home Studio 7?

Have been a cakewalk user all along. Will like to continue with Sonar. Did my research, Sonar 8.5 looks excessive, but the guitar rig le and the session drummer 3 plugins looks attractive.

I am going to use it for recording guitars, bass, keyboards and vocals. I am more of a guitar player, and the songs I record are more guitar centric. Won't be using much of the midi, except drum loops and the ocasional strings or synth.

So which one will be more suitable for my needs? Sonar 8.5 or Sonar Home Studio 7?

for me ill juz get sonar 8 instead. there will be support for it, and also, when u upgrade to sonar 9, it is pretty much similar in terms of price if u bought sonar 7 and upgrade to 9.

Which version are you using now? If all you need is to record guitar and you're not going to use much of everything else, then your current version may suffice.

Sound like you need better plug-in and extend your sound library.

i use a pretty ancient version, Sonar 4, so it's way overdue for an upgrade.... hee
