Some ideas on managing your volume level

The following site gives ideas of amp volume isolation solutions. This alone would not cut volumes of a raging amp to a whisper, but it can if used in conjunction with other sound management tools; i.e. low wattage amps, inefficient speakers, usage of attenuator.

This is another solution which I looked at initially but decided I preferred to be able to use a variety of cabs to sculpt my sound instead of being tied down to one.

maybe putting the amp in the cupboard and mic would achieve similar results with one door half opened.
