Short Write-Out About The Informal Meetup On the 21st Saturday of November 2009 at Chocolate Bar – 7pm to 12pm
Purpose of this Informal Gathering:-
(1) To Drink Beers…Kekekekekeke ! and Have Fun
(2) Most of all – To Check the Venue, The Equipments and Sound Acoustic Of Chocolate Bar.
(3) It was actually – A so-call 1st time - “Formal Audition for (our Band) Elements” at Chocolate Bar as one of the House Band of Tanglin CC (not Chocolate Bar har here) unknown to our knowledge actually in the 1st place, which (We Chris, Bojok, Jayzon and myself) – till Andrew said to us when we were playing/Jamming – “You Guys and Element Had Pass the Audition”…Wow.wwww we were very happy indeed.
We reached the Chocolate Bar at around 6 something (really didn’t really look at my watch)….and follow by the rest……some took their dinner at the Canteen there.
The 1st band that play was 3 Guys (Tanglin CC Music Club Members) – Felly (Band Leader and Bassists of a certain Band there), Remi (my Buddy a Lead Guitarists) and a Drummer (I don’t know his name) - - They were the 1st to Jam – anyway they were here not as a Band altogether (as they belongs to different bands) – but was here for the Blues-Jam Session which is from 2pm to 6pm.
These 3 guys were Great as they make us all feel very at home at the Chocolate Bar…and so The Ice-Breaks – Then follow by Elements and the rest of the Bands came up and follow by – Very Informal Jamming…It was really nice….Drinking Beers talking to all the Friends there (especially the Friendly Philippina kekekekeke), cheering each other – everyone was so Friendly and Warm – and – It was like “Home Ground” – We get the Privacy…Plus – Beers…so much better than jamming in any Studio (honestly) – The Sound was great as the Acoustic of the Room was just great and – It’s NEW – only opened for a month…Lovely Place with Lovely People and the Owners - - Jay, MRs Chong and Andrew – were all so nice and welcoming to all of us…..Everyone truly enjoy themselves - -
And Psssshhhh … (The Owner was so nice they asked me – You want to play until 1am also can - I aid 2am can - they say - Can why not)….that was so nice.eeeeeeeeeeee of them right ?– but of course we left at 12pm….(because our parents will scould us if we all go home late mah here Kekekeke)
Ok Now for the Equipments there:-
(1) There are 3 Speakers – Bass Lead & Rythmn
(2) There is a KeyBoard there too – very nice.
(3) The Drums sounded loud though it looks small (so drummers have to control a little) – don’t wack the Bass Drum too loud here (just a little that’s all)
What to Bring this coming 19th December :-
(1) Yourself (Most importantly here) – You will love it there (asked those that came though the place is a little small) – but since this is our 1st Meetup – Please do join in – have a look at this wonderful place - - rest assured – we will be getting a Bigger Venue there at TCC later on..
(2) Your Own Gadget (Effects etc )
(3) Drummers – Bring your own Double Pedals there (only a Single Pedal they have).- and your own Cymbals if you like (like what I did) though they do have Cymbals there).
I strongly believed that – Everyone there on that past 21st Saturday evening was VERY VERY HAPPY indeed….as everybody feels extremely Comfortable among one another (this is the most important thing), not only within the Pinoys that were there but including the Club Owners and the Local Club Musicians that were there ….It was a most wonderful Evening.
There is Basically only 2 Drawbacks here:
(1) The place is small (I mean no choice here) – but not to worry it will be equally enjoyable at least---- for the 19th December Gathering – Where we will Bring all of you around and – show the Larger Venue that we contemplate to be Booking – a Nice Airconditioned hall – The terms we will negotiate with the CC there..It’s nice.
(2) The other Problem (not really a Problem) - - You cannot smoke Inside the CC – but it’s ok – just walk out to the Gate (there will be plenty of us there smoking and chatting0 – so you still would not be bored rest assured.
And Now - - - Fo those of you who were there on the 21st Saturday November Nite - - Please post your Photos or Videos (If you have them) - - I see a lot of people taking out their Cameras and was doing Phototaking or Videoing…Please kindly share it with us all here…..
Hm.mmm remember that Girl with the long long hair she is slim and beautiful (Bojok friend) who have a Big Big Camera with Big Big Lens – a Cannon actually here (unlike mine no standard - using HP Nokia N97 to take Pics and Videos kekekke) – Please post those pics she Taken Bojok….Kekekekeke. It's nice to share.
Dear Bros/Sis here - Please support and come to this Event - We want you to Enjoy and take a look at the CC especially the Hall (quite a Big Venue) - - and if you all like it - and if Negotiation between the CC and this Pinoy Music Group at Soft is workable (shouldn't be a problem) - - then you all can have a MOnthly or Bi-Monthly Meetup and gather among yourself - -to Enjoy together as a Social Group among yourself - This is the Main Purpose of this Gathering - Please do come on the 19th December Rock Christmas Gig - You will not be dissapointed - Rest Assure - ... hope to see all of you there...
