Picking and pick-up

Hello guys, I've got a question to ask.

Whenever I play my guitar, I always hear a distinct picking sound, especially when I'm doing tremolo pickings.

I have been thinking of possible answers and solutions, but I don't have much ideas.

Would the height of the pick-ups from the strings matter? Or is it the problem with my pick-ups? Over-sensitivity?
