New drummer in singapore so where can i get equiped and all

Hi

I moved recently in Spore for work and i try to set up myself here and all.

As a drummer i d like to know where are the decent music shops here where i can get all i need from a cymbal tilter to a whole kit.

plus, i there any place i can practice drum by myself. I actually touch a drum only when i jam with my bands but i d like some individual time and i m looking for a drum only place.

Hi, welcome to Singapore.

You can visit Swee Lee at Bras basah building. If you are taking MRT, you alight at bugis station. Its a 15 mins walk.

As for place to practice, i am not really sure. But if you happen to live on the east side. I know theres a music school at tampinese where i have been there for drum practice before. I am not sure if they still allow people to rent their studios.

i Stay in Chinatown.

So far i went (for band practices) at the four tones and the FYE studios but not suitable for a drummer only session i think.

Hi, just to clarify, I believe that Bras Basah Complex is much nearer to City Hall MRT station.
There are other drum shops there as well such as Ranking Sports and Music etc so you can check out more stuff.

If I remember correctly, Fourtones studio used to offer off-peak drum practice at $10/h. Not sure if they still offer it but you might want to call up and ask. I think Anaki also offers it: http://www.anakirecords.com/drumming.htm
