Condition:

1. Body and Finish: 8.5/10 - Light scratches here and there. Since its in matte finish, they are hardly seen.

2. Electronics: the Doug Aldrich set is supposed to have coil tap function but guitar has not been wired properly to allow that function. otherwise, pots and switch works fine.

You may want to have it wired yourself to maximize the tonal capabilities of the pickups. Up to you.

3. Hardware:

1. Gotoh tuning machines - Excellent
2. Knobs - slightly tarnished, Good
3. Tailpiece - Very Good
4. Bridge - May Need Some Work

IMG_0050-1.jpg

A. the hex nut on the bridge (shown with arrow on the LEFT) that locks the bridge to the sustain block is rusted and has been stripped. thus it cannot be turned.

although the actual hex bolts that adjust the height seems to be fine, the bolt with the worn hex nut holds it in place and prevents any movement. this means the bridge height is fixed.

B. two of hex nuts on the saddle locks are also stripped and cannot be turned. thus intonation is fixed.

I have no problem with this though. I use gauge .10 D' Addario strings and intonation is spot on. Bridge height is optimal with no Buzzing whatsoever.

My guess is, after it had been setup, the person who tightened the bolts tried to tighten it too much for its own good. But those parts hasnt moved since it was set at that.

Think of it this way:

A. its Like it has a wrap around bridge, where those dont have saddle adjustments.

B. when was the last time you moved your bridge height?

Nevertheless, no matter what I say here, if you cannot live without having the chance to tinker and make adjustments on those two aspects: say you use a different gauge of strings and you have to really make adjustments to that, then this is not the guitar for you.

However, if you think you can live with that, then this might be the guitar for you.

I was thinking of replacing the bridge but after some examination, i realized tat i just wanted to be comforted by the fact that i could if i wanted to. but i didnt need to. so i didnt.

Reason for Selling:

I'm more into the vintage vibe guitars - look, feel and playability since i dont play metal or shred. but this guitar is versatile. the Doug Aldrich pickups overdriven can turn this into a beast but the clean sounds are surprisingly sweet and full.

And the sustain... i cannot emphasize how much sustain this one has. i wont say more. just try it out.

Im selling at $700. I will nego with those who can talk sense and has actually something to nego about.

Pickups alone cost $207.99 (without shipping) = SG$255 (and this is the cheapest online)
