Hi musicians,
Donny here, band manager for a soul R&B band. I’ve composed music and played in the city over the last ten years.
Now putting together a team for a new project.
I’m looking for musicians - singer, pianist and saxophonist - for an opportunity to play contemporary jazz, R&B pop covers by artists from the 90s to 2010s.
The style is groovy rhythm, jazz embellished chords with occasional solos. We’ll start first by covers and then explore rearrangements.

What You Won’t Do For Love by Bobby Caldwell
Independent Woman by Neyo
We Belong Together by Mariah Carey
Thank U, Next by Ariana Grande

Confessions by Usher
Most of us have full time jobs and doing music is our passion. We play because we want to and ultimately we want to play to an audience.
So we’re going with experienced musicians who can come in jam, sort out loose ends, and then perform at the gigs.
All this while having fun!
Expectations for us as a group:
- Music sheets provided
- 3 practices a month
- Band to audition after 5 practices
- If accepted, we’ll play at couple of sets and see how things go
Studio rental is subsidised and gigs will be paid.
