Hey fellow home recording sound engineers/mixers. I wanna ask if you guys have any solutions to limit the breathing / background noises beside sound proofing rooms. Well i kinda been struggling to limit these noises.

Here is my latest recording acoustic guitar track. i can hear abit of the breathing when im playing the guitar and was wondering if you guys got any advices on how to limit these kinds of noise other than lower down the gain.

Can these being filtered out using eqing, gating? Do tell me more as i here to learn not to judge or anything. Cheers.

Here is the link for the guitar track.

Its Stolen By Dashboard Confessional.

Do comment on the mixing too as well. I mastered it using preset in Izotope mastering suite. Thanks

why don't u like the breathing sound ok ah, a lot of audiophille recordings also have breathing sounds.

There is nothing wrong with the recording. If you think it's an issue, try to tilt down the mic towards the guitar.

Sounds perfectly alright for me... Recordings that are too clean reach the ears but barely make it to the heart... =)
