Help with getting a nice sound.

Hey guys! I've been trying to get a nice overdrive sound, that warm, but powerful, loud, open sound... I don't know how to describe it in words... Can anyone please help me.

Maybe try a lespaul -> marshall setting at jamming studios?

Moderate gain like maybe 9-10 O'clock and use the bridge pickup? May get what you want.

these 2 are fantastic overdrives, but their a little pricey. WARNING THOUGH, the MAB overdrive will never get you to distortion, MAB uses it to boost his amp distortion.

IMO that depends on the amplifier, because most practice amplifiers tend to have very mediocre built-in overdrive and distortion. Which is why I use pedals for my distortion. But if you're talking about a Marshall JCM800 or something like that, the amp totally owns!

I like to think so too!!!!!!!! TO get a good tube amp, maybe its out of his budget...
