Why am I selling? I hardly use it for 'audio production' these days.

What type of PCI sound card is the the Asus Essence STX? PCI express.

Is the STX truely 24-bit, 192 kHz? Yes ,for both playback and recording, I think.

Bit perfect? Yes, if your player can handle it.

A 'real' headphone amp? Yes.

What DAC & ADC does it have? Burr-brown pcm1792a, playback; Cirrus logic CS5381, recording.

Can I record in analogue? Yes, into the single 1/4", stereo jack. Great quality.

Can I connect an external player via analogue? Yes, also via the same input. Also good quality.

Digital out? Yes - coaxial/ toslink combo.

Digital in? No.

Analogue output? Yes, RCA.

Compatible with my PC? This card version was released during the Vista64 era. For detailed specs etc. I strongly advise to research 1st, or ask me.

Does the Asus site have the latest drivers? Yes - better than the one on CD.]
