dulling guitar finish?

i noe sum ppl might get frustrated over tis but i think if u buy a cheap guitar wif a shiny finish, it looks like a toy, anyway to remove the shine of the guitar? and also there is a finish tat is used which is not shiny n it protects the guitar, where can i buy tat finish? thanks for help

one very simple way to remove the shine is use very fine sandpaper and use it together with water to sand the body. with regards to your 2nd qns, I have no idea.
