My amp makes a loud pop sound every time a switch is turned on or off around the house. Is it because its 2 pin?

Thanks for your help! :)

I've have that issue as well, but it doesn't matter too much to me.

If i'm not wrong, i saw someone posting this exact same question before.
Do a quick search and you can definitely find the solution.

I think it's due to then grounding issue.

Cheers ! :)

Faulty wiring in your house. Nothing too dangerous or lethal, but it can be bothersome in such cases. If you can live with it, I suggest you just let it be.

This gives me an idea how to test the wiring in my new house after renovation... Plug in my amp and start jamming. If there is popping sound, complain to the electrician about the faulty wiring and demand re-wire :p

I recently just got a line 6 15W amp, it comes with 3 pin plug and it still does have the popping sound but its softer. Probably because its a smaller amp.

Like C.Junkie said, its probably the faulty wiring in the house.

I wonder if the popping will damage the amp??

If it's not deafening loud i'm sure it's not a serious problem.

Not enough to blow out the speaker, not a cause for worry.
