I am an accomplished cellist offering private lessons from home or in the east.
Abit about myself,
• Studied under Ding Xiao Feng from the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.
• Largely self-taught though media and literature over 10 years.
• Active and varied experience playing in school orchestras and ensembles.
• Graduate from Computer Engineering and currently making a career in teaching.
• Hold grade 8 in cello practical
• Passionate and avid musician that finds joy in sharing the art of playing the cello with others.
• Creative, enthusiastic, passionate, down to earth, not overly critical.
• Well read about cello technique and its application.
• Creative in my teaching to cater for different individual learning styles
Lesson offerings:
• Posture(Shoulder, Head and hip alignment)
• Left hand(Vibrato, Glissando, Shifting, Thumb position, Trills)
• Basic bowing Techniques(Detache, Martale, Staccato, Legato, Tremolo)
• Advanced bowing techniques(Sautille, Ricochet)
• Proper breathing for tension relief
• Preparing students for ABRSM Cello practical
• Coaching cellists to play in different settings(Solo, Orchestras, Quartets, Piano Duos)
• Developing strong sense of pitch for intonation and rhythm
• Tips for Sight Reading
