Okay so I'm having exams veryvery soon but I keep getting distracted by GAS. I'm thinking of fixing up my own BYOC chorus pedal after exams! So what does it take to start learning how to solder, for an electrical noob who is put in an education system where everything is just theory and teaches almost zero realworld-related skills like soldering?

More questions...
How much is a soldering kit? What should I practice on first? What paint to use? How to make the finish 'sparkly' (glitter right?) and finally, what kind of decals to get so I can print and stick on and finish everything off with some lacquer.

my friend doing engineering always does soldering work, like the wires on the probes, making a simple keyboard, blah blah blah... it will be good for practise.
