But the procedures are abit troublesome dont you think so?
Yeah, the procedures always struck me as being quite troublesome. And there's always the risk of lemons, or issues because you didn't get to try the particular guitar before buying. I prefer to test it thoroughly in person before buying. If I can't get a particular model in Singapore, I'll just find something similar. Being able to pick up any guitar and be able to play it is an advantage.

Some items are much better priced even after conversion & shipping.
one example...
an epi les paul custom in korea cost only SGD$500++ exclude shipping & taxes.
Swee lee? = SGD$1440 before discount if i remember correctly some time back...
Another will be prices for pickups on ebay are cheaper too (certain brands)

yes the procedures are oh so troublesome but i followed wat firdaus said. i tried a syn gates custom at guitar 77. and it cost 2.6k there, then i went back online and i checked out www.proguitarshop.com its much more cheaper there than in singapore. screw gst! haha!

It buying a new guitar is cheaper then send my own guitar to Kazakhstan ( working)
New Guitar - USD 879 (include shipping) - G&L USS legacy -
Own guitar to send to kazakhstan - at least 500 SDG or 700 USD
