Should I buy an oversea guitar or a domestic guitar with a cheaper price?

First, wood of oversea guitar may not be suitable for my weather conditions
Second, the shipping: long and may cause damage
Third, experience. I think buying a guitar must test it first, this is not possible when purchased overseas

Who has the experience of buying oversea instruments, can you give me some advices? Thank you

Acoustic or electric?

If acoustic, it doesn't really matter if it's overseas or domestics. You will need to hard case the guitar and throw in some thirsty hippos. FYI, I don't think there are any mass production in Singapore. A few high end boutique makers with low volume production.

Or just go carbon fiber. I bought one 5 years ago and got it setup. Never had to do another setup since.
