quite a few brands worth looking at, other than leo quan theres also hipshot, gotoh, wilkinson etc

cherns used to bring some in, and you could probably find something at zen or guitar connection

the idea is to put as heavy a chunk of metal as possible to counter string vibration. that's when you get awesome sustains

not to counter string vibration.. to transfer more energy from the strings to the body of the bass if bridges worked against string vibration you wouldn't have a very nice sounding bass!
