adobe audition and cakewalk home studio

hi, i'm new here, and i hope to learn more about music composing..

i happened to come across cakewalk home studio in my sch, but i just got adobe audition, not sure if i should get this software as well or not.

pardon my ignorant, does anyone noe what's the different between these two software and also which is better?

music composing - my vote would lie with cubase or cakewalk.

audio recording - mics,preamps,soundcards, amps, drums etc. yes. use adobe audition.

Home Studio better,

becuse Home Studio is a DAW, but adobe audition only a record.
