8 y/o Jesslyn loves Elsa and the movie Frozen so just did her very first audio recording + dslr video over the weekend (19/07/14). She was very nervous and forgot/mumbled some part of lyrics so go easy with the comments. Words of encouragement will help motivate her to practise harder.

It's my first time quick tinkering around with the video effects as well so ignore some glitches with the rendering..

This is Jesslyn's younger sister , 3 y/o Natalyn. She also loves Frozen just as much and joined in the fun of recording. I've kept the original vocals version private on family request + she couldn't sing at her young age.

Just wanted to share a 3 y/o singing + T-Pain autotune effect cos it reminds me of that "Charly Bit Me Autotune" youtube video and just did this for fun.

have a good one

Hey Ron. Cool stuff. Do you think it is possible to vastly improve Jesslyn's vocal in the post?

yes very possible but no point as it's sort of a "trial"/try out/1st time. When we discussed and decided we'll do this one time for fun, take a good look at herself and slowly think about whether she wants to do it on a more "serious" note as I showed her this reference of a korean uni student http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXqWVWHW8dA

I covered long term topics like either she does this 1-time for fun, or if she has the passion/drive for it = what she needs to practise on the vocal flaws, remembering lyrics, pronunciation, emotion etc this "hobby" (a.k.a music/singing) will eat into her playtime, her TV time etc while having to juggle her homework/studies. (she was doing her 300 qn math homework easily before when I was setting up for the recording. very smart girl.)
including the fact there will always be someone better no matter how talented you are, and once you're better than others, there will be someone jealous and say mean things about your singing.

So once she learns better time/stress/emotional management, and has talent + passion for singing , I told her come to me again when you're ready, we'll do this again and better.

Now lets see what I was doing at 8 years old... legoes, playdohs, nintendos. But well, I knew what I wanted to do at her age. I liked music, computers/games and art. here i am.
