Allow me to indulge.

Just received the neck in the evening. Right when I'm going to be off to good ol Bangkok for vacation in 5 hours. How to work on thisssss.... damn.

Still considering whether to give it a light amber tint before applying Danish Oil or direct Danish Oil. I'll do a spot test when I'm back.

I've only heard good things about USACG(www.usacustomguitars.com) but the quality is WAAAAY past my expectations.

Love the way the dress the fret ends. I don't even have to send it for a proper fret dressing. Can't wait for the body to arrive.

Specs:
12 string Baritone scale neck
Maple on maple
Fingerboard Radius: 7 1/4" - 9 1/2" compound
Nut Width: 1 3/4"
Back Contour: .850 C

Here's the porn.

Next would be the body. Can't wait.

Excellent.

But Edder, give me a heads up on the frets ya? I don't know what frets USACG uses, methinks its Dunlop, but they tarnish easily - disappointing.

Gorgeous! Is it gonna be like Fender XII style with an offset body? :p
BTW...is the headstock based on the Fender Strat XII?

That is quite spectacular... I've been wanting to order stuff from them for the longest time - how much did shipping cost you if you don't mind me asking?

ironnickel, elias: the headstock is just their standard headstock. nothing custom about this one. the only thing custom is that they had to fit a 12 string headstock to a baritone neck which is not a standard thing for them to do.

shredcow: tarnish or not i dunno man.... but as you know me, I'm a tinkerer not a player so it wouldn't matter much to me. also for a 12 stringer and a baritone somemore... I only hope to command strength to press down the strings... Tarnish related string bending and vibrato techniques heh heh.... I dunno if the ends are malcolm influenced or not.... but they sure look and feel like SHIOK AHHHH

chanmin: go get em. value fer money lah.... believe me, I've went thro the route of a Custom Bgrade malaysian furniture maker to WD/Allparts to this.

cherns: not too much lah. I paid a total of USD500 for the neck and body and shipping. My specs are all pretty vanilla other than that MOP dot and side markers.

sub: the body was supposed to be on the way. they pack it separately. anyway I'm on vacation now sooooo.... i hope its still at the postoffice when i get back.

deathism: I'm using a Pentax K100D. Lens are a Tamron 24-75 f2.8(I think!) and the fret closeup an elcheapo but very nice Vivitar 100mm macro.

Body pictures up! Some minor work needs to be done on the pickguard as it doesn't match that well with my Telebass metal plate. Also the instrument jack hole is kinda small even though I send them the hole dimensions.

Body specs
Light weight swamp ash
STP(Strat/Tele/P-bass) body style
3 single coils
12 string Gotoh string thro body

i only see 6 string through holes? or the other 6 are top load? hmm quite interesting actually to have 6 string through, the alt ones at top load

lachiplo,
yeah, its a Gotoh design. 6 string thro body, 6 on the bridge.
best part is you can intonate every single string. excellent 12 string bridge!
