Cajón Drum

video was done by a film crew (friends of ours) with a portable crane. as for the cajon sound.. we just mic up separately and *try* to sync it with the video feed.. lol

i think you can get it at music theme/ranking sports?

Hi everyone,

redname, i don't think u'll find one. i don't think it even existed! hehe. but another way to learn it is through watching the videos in youtube and trying it out yourself. it's not that difficult... its fun!

thot of tht but i also need pointers for correct techniques.

there are instructional materials outside actually but not in S'pore. SIAN :(

here's a link to something i found of someone who sells materials for cajon

yippe, finally bought my cajon from the swee lee sale. kekeke, now my neighbours will be having really annoying times :p

Well, at least not as loud as a full drumset.. They should be grateful!

mine has a pickup :D

kekeke, jus kidding, no money for tht man, jus the cheapest i can find in swee lee.

my neighbours won't be annoyed by the volume but will be annoyed by the lousy drumming.

as my mum used to say, "loud nvm but at least make it sound gd"

bought @ 100+ aft 50% discount

i think u r trying to ask whether the sound is tight. the bass sounds deep and the snare has to be hit at the right part for tht nice tight sound.

i'm not sure whether they sell the cajon with pick up.

I'll need to learn how to mic it up next time. any advise anyone?

anyone can recommend a mic? i know SM57 is it but its can of expensive

anyone tried getting a pickup for their cajon?

i'm not toking abt the ones meinl has but rather an alternative i can use to pickup the sound of a cajon.

i've tried those tranducer pickup for guitars but comments were tht the lower freq can't be heard

I use a 57. Get it, it's worth the money. It's not that expensive if you look at the whole range of mics that are in the industry. It's a good mic that will last.
