Tremolo/Whammy Bar Springs

What difference do the number of springs in the tremolo system make? Like currently my Squier Strat has 3...and what difference would there be if I uprgrade to having 5 springs in it?

well basically it'll be harder to whammy, as the springs pull the tremelo down, so with more springs, it means there will more reisistance when u whammy. hope it helps

5 springs equals your guitar is gonna snap into 2!

having more springs help tuning stability, increase sustain, and keep your bends from going flat. but it'll be really difficult to whammy,

actually just screw in a little more makes no diff from many springs...
anyway too many springs can cause a hand sprain...
