Fym Summer has been invited to perform her music at the upcoming SXSW Music Festival 2018 and it would be her dream to be able to bring her music to a wider audience and to represent Singapore with her music at the international stage! However, she needs to settle some finances and line-up support... *reality checks*
Where do the funds go to:
Flights, accommodations, music equipment rental and transport arrangements are to be provided by the artist, accompanying artists and crew members themselves and no compensation is given by the music festival during the week.
Therefore, we are seeking to reach a goal of USD16,000 (for 3 of us, at least, to survive a week in the States) from supporters of the local and international music community. With everyone's support, we believe we will be able to make this come true!
Who is Fym Summer:
Foo Yumin, known professionally by her stage name Fym Summer, is a singer-songwriter born and raised in Singapore. She is a featured singer-songwriter by NOISE Singapore 2015, an initiative held by the National Arts Council of Singapore (NAC). Under the music mentorship of renowned musical artists such as Vanessa Fernandez and Randolf Arriola and teachers from Royal Academy of Music (RAM), she has been actively and fervently writing and releasing songs after songs and never stopping. Her passion to music is second to none. Some music critics describe her works as affecting and masterful, comparable to music by Fiona Apple, Keren Ann and Joni Mitchell.
