Pete endorses Remo heads, LP percussion, Sabian cymbals, DW drums, Vic Firth sticks and ATV aFrame.

Pete Lockett’s clinic / performance is an incredibly dynamic, entertaining, virtuosic and informative showcase of drumming and percussion from every part of the globe. The main focus on the educational content comes from Petes new book, Bars, Beats & Building Blocks, released 2018 on Hudson music. Pete looks at a system for practicing, internalizing and thinking about rhythms that will increase command, creativity, and rhythmic understanding on the drums. Using a system of “partitions,” he challenges you to take rhythmic cells and expand them in various ways, including changing voicings on the kit, rhythmic modulation, phrase development and more. This system presents a nearly infinite number of combinations to inspire your creativity and ability. The relationship between drum set and percussion is also explored in depth with a focus on odd time signatures, solo and theme development and rhythmic modulations on drum set and percussion.

Pete was thrice voted #1 BEST WORLD PERCUSSIONIST by the readers of DRUM magazine in the USA.
