Hi all,

Intro
Name is Peter, I'm from Indonesia and new here in Singapore. Less than 3 months /:)
I play bass, guitar, keyboard, sing, and drum, but my skill is far below moderate.. hehe..

Simply put I'm a music lover and a noob musician.. :D

I'm 29 by the way... and I never listen to "you-are-too-old-for-music-so-get-a-serious-life-wife-kids-home-car-money-money-money-and-more-money" kinda talk..

Background
I play guitar in high school years ago. I joined a Punk band at 2006 and Japan-Pop-Rock-Jazz-Etc from 2007 to 2009. Both are in Jakarta and both I played as bassist.

Gears
- Ibanez GSR 2000. Yes it's beginner bass guitar, but I like it.
- Ibanez Gio something, I cant remember the serie, but it's a cheap beginner elec guitar.
- Roland cube 30 amp. Another beginner stuff.
- Zoom G7.1ut, guitar multieffect. Yes, it came with Cubase LE.
- Novation Xio Synth. Merely for experimental thing..
- Demeter Comp, GEB7, EHX Micro Bass Synth.

All that stuff I left in Jakarta, and kinda regret it now.. :(

Ozone Inc.
Back at that time Ozone Inc. made one EP album, with one Video Clip, one live show at local radio station, and few gigs around Jakarta and Bandung. I think we were pretty lucky with all that.

After Ozone Inc dismissed, I almost never play music, apart from doing some youtube videos and some killing time stuff with Cubase. I think I never touch my bass guitar since then.

Singapore
So now in Singapore I still not really sure about my music life. I'm checking around the town for indie band and local scene just to see how it's going on here, but I think I haven't get the idea or much information yet. All I know is most people here doing cafe or live band job which are not really my thing. I'm more into indie band, by that I mean writing and playing your own song and less covering others.

I'm pretty aware that there will be complication with 100% in indie vs career n job. But with my prev band I can somehow managed to pull out both. Maybe I was lucky though, but I think there's still possibility to do indie thing while doing work.

Then the fact that I dont have any musical gear here (except for my old PC and Cubase) somehow adds up to my thought.

So,.. simply put, I have this dilemma about getting back to music or not. If you have some advise, insight, guide, recommendation about this, then please let me know or just reply here.. would be great to hear from you...

Other
I do graphic art (digital painting mostly), learning 3D things, writing novel, write short-crazy-unfinished stories, IT programming, football, running, and planning to learn Chinese language.. lot of stuff, lot of fun, but I miss my music life..

Just to let you know, you are not alone with this situation. If music brings you the life experiences you want, then stick with it. That's all that matters.
