Haven't really had time (and space) to set up because of post-renovation cleaning up to do around the house. And army, of course.

Here's what I've been using so far:

15" Avedis Sweet hats
20" Oriental Crash of Doom
24" K Light Ride

14" x 8" Pearl Maple Freefloater (Hexagonal lugs)
20" x 12" Tempus Fibreglass bass drum (White finish with grey speckles with Champagne Sparkle hoops)

Kit is looking superb, jeepers. To be honest, I don't really like the white, but the champagne sparkle is killer. Where did you get the kit from? How's the sound compared to your exports?

Thanks. I don't know. The white didn't blow me away, but it's growing on me. Looks better in person, to be honest. Yeah, I know right. The hoops are pretty darn awesome. Got 'em off one of the guys at Cymbalholic.

So far, I've only really tuned up the kick. Really really really digging it. Plays way bigger than a 20"x12".

Well, I am preferring this kit, as compared to my Export. Minor things make the difference too. I'm using totally different skins now from my Export, and I tuned the drums tighter too. Definitely louder and warmer compared the Export.

I might set up the Export again just to compare - I didn't touch my Export for nearly 2 months because of renovation works.

I'm liking your kit more and more, jeepers. Haha I can't wait to see more pictures of it. Is this only a 3 piece or will there be a rack tom? Your 14x8 snare seriously makes it so classy. I don't know why. So far, I really like the sizes you're running. I'm so jealous.

How much was shipping from the US, if you don't mind me asking?

And by the way, what kind of pedal is that? A Yamaha FD? I could've sworn you were using an eliminator. Maybe it wasn't you...

edit: Renovation works eh... I love your drum space. It looks like a loft or something. How do you get down from there? Looks like quite a jump. Haha.

Hahahah thanks! :) See, told you it grows on you. I'll try! Army's killing me.

There will be a rack tom. Here are the sizes and finishes:

12" x 7" - Blue Sparkle
15" x 10" - Orange Sparkle
20" x 12" - White finish with grey speckles with Champagne Sparkle hoops

Shipping was about USD380ish. The entire kit came in one box.

Yup it's a Yamaha FD. Lovin' it. I had a pair of Eliminators which I sold off after deciding I wouldn't actually use them much. And I have a Eliminator single in church.

Smart girl! It is a loft. We had it built with my drums in mind. Ahaha yep it's quite a jump. My dad's getting a short flight of stairs made now, with like smaller cabinets built it under the stairs so I have extra storage for my drum stuff.

The area's really messy now.

I'll try to get more pictures with the full 4 piece set up aite.

Maybe when I get a gig (pretty hard 'cos of army), you could drop by and check the kit in person.

Oh my god, I'm in love with the sizes and they're so transportable. Tell me how the 15" floor sounds when you get a chance yeah? I've always wanted to know how one plays.

Nice, never tried an FD but I've heard great things.

I seriously love your drum space. The idea of the loft and cupboard under the stairs (harry potter anyone?) is just ingenious. I want one. Haha.

I'm praying you get a gig so I can come look at your kit. So sick. Congrats.

Haha those were the reasons why I bought them in the first place! The sizes and transportability. Everything fits into one bag.

I'll definitely you know how the 15" sounds when I find a tuning I like on it. Anxious to find out myself, especially since I'm so used to my 14" tom already. I was thinking of doubling up the 15" as a smaller kick for softer gigs.

Yup the FD is my go-to pedal. I guess I'm just too used to it. I would only stop using it if I get an Axis.

I seriously love my drum space too. I might move the Tempus kit into my room though, and then put a smaller kit in the loft. 10-13-16. You should do it, if space permits. And I need to get acoustic foam!

Ahahah! Would be impossible though. My vocalist and bassist are studying in Australia. Still finding a temp replacement bassist.

Oh, by the way, do you still wanna try out the Byzance ride? If I remember right, you wanted to know how it was right?

Good buy, very good buy.

Okay cool thanks. I don't think we get 15" drumheads here do we? That was one of the reason I told myself never to get a 15". But if it works out for you... who knows ;) a 15" kick would be highly unusual but would probably sound sweet.

So you're liking the FD more than the eliminator? I currently have an iron cobra but it's feeling a wee bit heavy for me. So I'm looking around. Axis pedals are probably amazing but way out of my budget.

I hate my 22" kick. Well hate is a strong word; I dislike it. I would love an 18x14. The 16" kick is looking pretty attractive right now. I need a 10" tom first. And about moving the tempus, I think you should reconsider. She deserves to be displayed somewhere everyone can see her haha.

Thanks for the offer on the byzance but my cymbal tastes have drastically changed. The byzance wouldn't fit. I'm currently looking for a clicky, woody ride with some 'tah'. Did you sell off the byzance extra thin jazz ride?

Nope I don't think we get 15" heads here. Doesn't matter anyway, I get my heads from US now. I reckon a 15" kick would be nice, especially in this size. 15" x 10". Yum.

Yup I edging towards the FD a wee bit more. Ultimately it's how you like the pedal. I could easily alternate between the two. Both are very good pedals. The Eliminator is more versatile (settings can be changed very easily), but I've settled on my FD so yep.

Oh man, I'd love an 18" x 14" too. Even an 18" x 16" would do, in fact.

Vintage sizes are making a comeback eh. Most kicks in the old days were 14" deep.

Hmmm well, she's still sitting pretty up on the loft. Plus I need to clear up my room (my entire house is in a mess) and arrange the new furniture so I'll take all the time I need to think it over. And your reason is a valid enough reason to keep 'er there eh? Heh.

Ha aitey. Nope the Extra-Thin's still available. That one sounds lovely with a sizzler on it. If you're bolder, you could drill it for two rivets and it'll kill. Might be a lil' too washy for what you're looking for though.

Btw, the Byzance Med is sorta clicky too. In a Paiste 602 way, you know. Silvery, brightish stick with a right amount of wash. I would thin the edges though.

Yeah, I bought some heads from the US as well, the quality is 10 times better. I've yet to play a kick smaller than 18".

Good stuff, thanks for your input on the pedals. Yeah I really like vintage sizes because of how they sound and I've got space constraints as well, so they really appeal to me.

Any updates on the kit? Have you maybe set up both toms? If you got it, flaunt it. Keep that beauty of a kit in your loft. :)

Could you PM me the price for the Extra-Thin if you're still selling it? I'm kind of interested... though yeah, the wash-iness might not be what I'm looking for in a ride right now.

Yeah the byzance med does sound a lil clicky, but not nearly enough. I also kind of see similarities between it and my K Custom Dark ride. I don't really want 2 rides which sound identical. My next purchase will hopefully be some sort of unlathed ride.

Any new cymbal purchases? I know you're pretty into the buying and selling thing. As am I :) my tastes just change way too quick.

Well, so far the heads I've gotten from US are Evans' EC1 Coateds and G-Plus. Both can't be found local, I think, so I can't say much about the difference in quality. I managed to secure them at dealer's price off a forum.

Well, I've played a 16" tuned up high and really really liked it. Punchy.

Hey no problems whatsoever, anytime!

Nah this week's been crazy. Parties, hanging with friends I haven't met in a bit, yada yada. I'll try my best to set em up some time in the coming week, I hope. Will definitely post pictures once I do.

Yup I'll drop you a PM. Well, it's a good pie to have around. You never know when you might need a nice washy (yet with a defined stick above the wash) with a yummy trashy crash.

Ah, yep I reckon so. And nice choice on the unlathed ride. Get a Turk? But a Agop Sig would be really brilliant.

Well, I bought a pair of Bosphorus Turk Light hats. Really diggin' em. Just the one cymbal purchase. Did buy a Pearl Philharmonic 14x6.5 maple, but that's gonna listed as soon as I get pictures.

I've decided I need to clear before I buy. So unless the deal is really really really good, I won't make a move on it.

Oh nice, how's that GPlus?

Thanks for the pm about the byzance, I'll think about it this week and let you know. Why are you selling it anyway? You can never have too many rides. ;)

I've been looking at either bos master turks, an agop sig, or an agop SE. But this will be farrrr in the future. My funds are running out haha.

Oh snap I saw those Bos turk hats. Good price too if I remember. Couldn't justify buying them since I already have 2 pairs but I bet they sound great.

I need a new snare man.

My new update!

I've played over 20 shows with this guy now for jazz gigs, pop gigs, rock gigs....I'm loving it till death!!!

Hmmm, I haven't really used the GPlus yet. I've got a good feeling about it though!

No worries. I'm selling it 'cos I've got the Crash of Doom. Two different beasts though. I've got interest from GN and DF so I'll see how it goes. Might keep, been playing it and really digging it with a sizzler. Maybe it's time to drill it for rivets.

Ah very nice choices. Very different cymbals, the three you've listed. Been considering a 22" Sig myself. Check out the 24" Bos Master Turks - Killer!

LOL I thought only my cousin and I used "Oh snap". Yeah great price. They are great. Meaty stick. My sixth pair, I think. Keepers for now. They're keeping my Avedis Sweet and Sound Creation Dark Heavy hats off the stand so that says something 'bout 'em.

Ha, what snare are you using now? I miss my Acro. Want a Ludwig HH Bronze 14" x 6.5".

Oh nice, how's that GPlus?
