Carvin Kiesel no longer makes this model. They are getting rarer nowadays. This specific bass is truly special:
1. It has a roasted birdseye maple fingerboard (found in high end or custom made basses)
2. The humbucker pickup can be turned into single coil mode by pulling the volume knob (so it becomes similar to a 70s jazz bass setup)
3. Candy Apple Red finish. Not many done with this finish on this model that I'm aware of. Very hot looking IMO.
4. It has a stacked low mid/ high mid. Carvin Kiesel no longer has this option. Only mid with mid sweep stacked.
Personally, I think this bass is most suited for bass players who play Rock genre because of it's aggressive tone. You are welcome to test it out and tell me what you think. I'm based in Johor Bahru which is just across the customs. You are welcome to drop by my place for a "test drive".
