Hi,
I'm a 34 year old drummer looking to form a band. The idea is more to write and record own songs rather than playing covers. Basically go to the jamming studio, come up with some riffs and tunes. Once if we have ard 4-5 songs, can start recording and release an EP. From there, then can look for shows/gigs.
The idea is not just rush to perform for the sake of performing. More of taking our own time to perfect our own songs.
I'm looking at either a 3 piece set up with either the guitarist/bassist sings, or both sing also can. Influences range from blink 182, plain sunset, alkaline trio, thrice to name a few.
I would prefer to jam on Friday nights or evening on weekends. Maybe once every week or once every fortnight.
For recording, I have the necessary equipment to do it at home so we won't really be going to a studio to record. Would be a plus if you can record riffs on your own, so it will be easier to share online amongst one another.
