Turning vox lil' nightrain into a metal machine

Hi guys,

I just got myself a Vox lil' nightrain head and cab.
I was hoping that you can suggest what pedals can I get in order to give it a insane, crunchy metal tone as I play both clean and distorted tones.

It will be really great if you can help me !

This might be coming in a little late, but here's a video of Rob Chapman getting a ton of crunch from the Lil Nightrain using a 4x12" cab and the amp cranked to max:


What kind of metal tone are you after? If it's the severely mid-scooped modern metal tone, it's quite unlikely you'll get it from a small amp like the LNT.
