I have EHX Bass Big Muff. Would want to add EHX Metaphors. Can both go through cable patch? Are EHX bass pedal effects compatible (can be cabled patched) with other non-EHX bass pedal effects?

thanks man :D how about daisy chaining EHX(big muff pi nano) with other manufacturers(like MXR bass preamp, i just bought this)?

Hi man, receive your PM, as long as you are using pedal that only required 9V, there wont be any problem in daisy chaining, need to know how much milliamp, (abbreviated as ma) does your pedal take most analog pedal only takes in like 10-20 milliamp. Best way to find out your pedal power requirement is through the manufacture website,

so if you are looking at EHX bass Big Muff Pi nano (i assume you got the bass version) just find the manual online - http://www.ehx.com/assets/instructions/nano-bass-big-muff-pi.pdf
if you read it, it takes in 4ma at 9VDC,

for mxr bass preamp i assume you are using the newer m81 version,
http://www.jimdunlop.com/files/manuals/M81_man_WEB.pdf
it takes in 9.25ma at 9VDC,

there is no problem in powering them with a daisy chain power supply as they both take in 9VDC,

There are 2 ways in powering your pedal, one is to use isolated output power supply such as Cioks, Voodoo Lab, Decibel Eleven,

Another method is to daisy chain from those high current adapter like the Visual Sound One Spot, Godlyke Powerall, or Diago Powerstation

good place to read through them is here: http://stinkfoot.se/archives/808

and for the pedals recommendation on your style of music, i suggest a tuner pedal (a must in all pedalboard), compressor, overdrive pedal, and maybe a flanger.

Thanks bro for all these useful info. I PM you coz I'm not sure if i will look stupid with these type of questions, seriously. Really appreciate your help, man. I already purchased a tuner pedal(still waiting for it to be delivered), the bass big muff pi Nano can serve as my overdrive, right? Yes i am using the newer M81 bass preamp. Now i am contemplating between a flanger and a compressor or a chorus(MXR bass chorus deluxe - it has a flanger in it, what do you think?)

well for the bass big muff pi nano, it might or might not work depending on how bottom heavy your guitarist sound and i think your definition of overdrive is bit different than mine which is okay haha,

i tried the mxr bass chorus deluxe before it is okay i guess, but for my personal opinion its very hard to use chorus on like a post hardcore band, it can work depend on how you use it. For Flanger wise i kinda prefer the old turstee boss bf3 cheap and can get into bit of weird territory.

Anyway if you like mxr pedals get it from Davis at Peninsula their mxr is cheaper than US pricing which i had no idea how they did that, look for Steven he can recommend you some pedals also coz he also a bass player.

my advice is that if you can hear yourself using a type of fx in your band mix then get it but if you cant and you want to get a pedal just because you want to better dont get the pedal you will end up selling it happen to me all the time haha.

thanks man! I will check MXR @ Davis.. that's what I am trying to avoid - selling the pedal that I just bought, but I think this is all part of the GAS thingy. lol. appreciate the help. :D
